Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

 RECRIAI has as mission to promote and disseminate scientific and technical knowledge in creativity and innovation, aiming to enlarge the advance of knowledge on these areas, and to demonstrate the multifaceted expressions of creativity and innovation. This it is a multidisciplinary publication and open to propagation of papers, research, and experiences in the areas of creativity and innovation. Publication fee is R$ 200,00 (two hundred Brazilian real) for accepted article. For CRIABRASILIS’ associate members, who have paid their yearly membership, there are no fees.

Papers can be sent in Portuguese, English and Spanish languages

- Categories of accepted papers by RECRIAI:

* Research reports: Original manuscripts, based on empirical data, presenting introduction, method, results and discussion.

* Theoretical article: Papers aiming to present a critical vision of a theme applied to creativity and/or innovation, based on preexisting arguments on the literature.

* Experience narration: Description of a work by individuals, groups or organizations indicating a problem and a solution, based on the literature.

* Review: Evaluation of books or collections with relevance to the area of creativity and/or innovation, which has been published recently (within 1 year)

* Interview: Interviews with recognized individuals, which have contributed to the areas of creativity and/or innovation

* History and memory: Reprint of hard-to-access works or documents, to preserve the history and memory of CRIABRASILIS’s events.

*  Artistic or photographic essay: original visual essays accompanied with texts to be accepted for publication.

- Evaluation process:

Manuscripts that are classified in the work categories described above will go through the following evaluation process:

1) Editors’ referral to two members of the Editorial Board or ad-hoc consultants. This process involves blind peer review, that is, the evaluation is done by consultants and editors whom do not the authors' identity.

2) Reception of Editors’ oppinions, with recommendation for acceptance (with or without modifications) or rejection. In the case of acceptance, the authors will be sent copies of the opinions on the article, establishing a deadline for submitting the reformulations.

3) In case there is conflict between Editors’ opinions, one accepting the article and another rejecting, a third reviewer will be sought for tie-breaker.

4) The final pdf version will be sent to the author for correction before publishing it.

Submission requirements

The complete paper for submission must contain:

1) Front page with the manuscript complete name in Portuguese/Spanish and English,  author’s name, institution and e-mail.

Acknowledges must be in the mentioned on the bottom of the front page.

2) Additional page, in English and Portuguese, with the manuscripts’ complete name  without author’s identification.

3) Abstract (English), Resumo (Portuguese) Resumen (Spanish), containing  100 to 150 words. The key-words or descriptors should be written in small letters separated by semicolon. Three  to 5 key-words describing exactly the paper’s content.

4) Introduction or text. Contextualizing the problem, including its historical antecedents and declarations, or objectives, offering a broad vision of the realized research.

5) Methods. Description of utilized procedures, including consistent information about participants, instruments and procedures. At the end of this section there must be a clear statement regarding ethical procedures adopted on the research.

6) Results. Analysis of results according to the manuscripts’ objectives.

7) Discussion. Interpretation of results and implication, based on other investigations present in the literature. Limitations and suggestions for future research must be pointed. The conclusion of the paper and its final considerations must be included in this session.

8) References in APA format,6.0 version. Approximately  30% of references should come from the five last years.

9) Tables and/or illustrations (in editable file, on the formats accepted by the journal) inserted in the text body. Maximum of 3 tables and 3 illustrations (figure or graphics). 

10) It will be up to the authors to insert the figures in the text in low resolution (72dpi extension jpg or tiff) and to indicate the number of each figure.

Editorial Rules:

All manuscripts should be sent in APA format. 6.0 version, Times New Roman. Size 12; Paper size should have minimum of 15 and maximum 25 pages, numbered since the first page (inferior right corner), with double spacing. The size of sheet must be A4 with superior and inferior margins (2,5 cm), left and right (3 cm), and .doc extension.

A letter to the editorial commission must be included, presenting the article, and confirming that is an original work, which has not been submitted to any other journal for publication, and indicating in which categories the manuscript should be considered.

Information must be included  (in case of research) if the research was submitted to the human beings ethical committee. This letter must be signed by all paper’s author.

The following documents will be sent in the moment of submission:

  1. Authorization for publication;
  2. Conflict of interests;
  3. Copyright grant;
