Evidências de validade do subteste de criatividade verbal da bateria de avaliação das altas habilidades / superdotação

Abstract

In order to search for validity evidence based on the relationship with external variables, convergent type, for the Metaphor Creation subtest that compose the Giftedness Assessment Battery, the results of the participants were compared with the results in another test that measures the same construct, Thinking Creatively with Words of Torrance (PCPT). The sample consisted of 113 adolescents, aged between 15 and 19 years old (M = 16.8; SD = 0.95), 57 female, 2nd year students (n = 69) and 3rd year students (n = 44) from high school. Significant associations were found between the measures (between metaphorical quality and the two verbal creative indexes), in addition to four isolated characteristics (fluency, flexibility, originality and analogies), considered cognitive. The number of ideas (metaphors given) was also shown to be significantly related to the two creative indices and three characteristics, two cognitive (fluency and flexibility) and one emotional (expression of emotion).
