Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the state of the art of creativity and education in Brazil between the years 2014-2021. The databases used were SciELO and PePSIC (for articles), and CAPES (for theses and dissertations). In total 123 studies were found, and most of them used children (32%) and teachers (61%) as a sample. Empirical studies (59%) prevailed to the detriment of theorists (41%). The year with the most publications was 2015 (n=22). The most studied themes were related to the development of creativity (28%) and to the creative teacher (22%). The use of tests (18%) was predominant, with the Torrance Test (22%) and the Infant Figural Creativity Test (16%) being the most used. It was concluded that there has been a growth of studies over these eight years, however, there is a lack of studies that investigate the subject in minority samples and in non-formal education spaces.
