This issue of the magazine consists of five articles that focus on the themes of creativity and high skills / giftedness. Two of the studies focus specifically on the theme of creativity. The contribution of Bezerra, Roama-Alves and Azoni focuses on the relationship between creativity and reading, investigated through a literature review and the second study, authored by Nakano, Fusaro and Batagin present the path of creativity research, through national and international literature review.

In the second focus, creativity is investigated within the context of high skills / giftedness, in three studies. Piske's article discusses the importance of creativity in the education of the gifted, the factors that inhibit this potential and the educational strategies for its development. Rondini's article presents the analysis of creative-productive giftedness in an artist, recognizing the importance that certain mentors exercised for the manifestation of his talent. Finally, the study by Reis, Capellini and Brondino sought to investigate the effectiveness of two self-assessment instruments, one for assessing high skills / giftedness and the other for creativity, as tools to be considered within a broader evaluation process.

It is hoped that the reading of the texts can broaden, to the reader, the understanding of creativity as a comprehensive, complex and, increasingly relevant construct in the most different contexts.
